Diagnostic test

The diagnostic tests can be taken between 4 and 23 October 2022 online at http://testyjezykowe.amu.edu.pl. In order to take the diagnostic test log in with your USOS credentials. Choose only one diagnostic test from the list of languages available on the website. The diagnostic tests for the remaining languages will be closed.

NOTE! If the test results are below A2 level, the student is entitled to individual foreign language consultations with AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre language instructors. If the diagnostic test concerns English, the student may use free e-learning materials for self-study (temporarily, that is until 30.09.2022, available at http://elearning.amu.edu.pl) – use AMU email login credentials; go to AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre => e-English: materials for self-study for A1-A2 level.

The diagnostic test is obligatory for all first year Bachelor and long-cycle Master programmes. It must be taken at the beginning of year one winter semester.

The diagnostic test aims at informing students about their proficiency in the language, and providing clues for self-study in order to achieve the appropriate level of proficiency (A2 or higher) before the beginning of the foreign language course.

The chosen foreign language course offered by the appropriate faculty begins in the second semester. The student registers for the foreign language course using the appropriate token. Taking a placement test, which estimates student proficiency in the language, is required to receive the appropriate token.
