Registration for Specialist Language Courses

The AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre informs students that from September 24, 2025 (Wednesday), 9:00 a.m., online token registration for specialist foreign language courses will open at ul.amu.edu.pl. The registration is intended for:

  • first-year students of full-time second-cycle (Master’s) programmes,
  • first-year students of full-time long-cycle Master’s programmes.

Registration will remain open until October 8, 2025 (Wednesday), 11:59 p.m.

Registration schedule by faculty:

  • Faculty of English – 9:00
  • Faculty of Biology – 9:30
  • Faculty of Chemistry – 10:00
  • Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science – 10:30
  • Faculty of Physics and Astronomy – 11:00
  • Faculty of History, Faculty of Art Studies – 11:30
  • Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences, Faculty of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management – 12:00
  • Faculty of Political Science and Journalism – 12:30 (only for 2nd-year students continuing their language course; 1st-year students will begin in the summer semester)
  • Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Science (only Psychology students starting their first semester of specialist language; others will be assigned to groups by the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre coordinator)
  • Faculty of Sociology – 13:00
  • Faculty of Law and Administration – 13:30
  • Faculty of Theology – 14:00 (only for Dialogue and Social Counselling students; Theology students will begin in the summer semester)
  • Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures – 2nd-year German Philology students do not register; they will be assigned to groups by the USOS coordinator. Other students register within their faculty.

The class timetable will be available on ul.amu.edu.pl no later than September 23, 2025.

Registration rules

  • First-year full-time second-cycle students receive a LEK-SPEC-B2 token and register for a specialist language course offered by their faculty. Courses are conducted at B2+ level (except at the Faculty of English) and continue from the language courses completed during first-cycle studies.
  • Full-time long-cycle Master’s students in Law receive a LEK-SPEC-B2 token after successfully completing in the summer semester 2024/2025:
    • a B2.2-level language course,
    • a specialist language course (for second-semester registration), or
    • a general language course based on an external certificate.
  • Full-time long-cycle Master’s students in Psychology receive a LEK-SPEC-B2 token after successfully completing in the summer semester 2024/2025:
    • the language course in group 23-ANG-B21-Z60, or
    • a general language course based on an external certificate.

Important notice

Students who do not register for a specialist language course within the registration period on ul.amu.edu.pl are required to submit an application to the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre (to the coordinator for their faculty – list below). Based on the application, the USOS coordinator will assign the student to a group only if free places are available.
