Theme: Tech for Sustainable Development: A Cross-Continental Innovation Challenge

Project overview:

In this COIL project, IT students from Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), the Nadnotecki Institute in Piła, and Durban University of Technology (DUT) collaborated in international teams to design practical solutions to global challenges visible in their local contexts. Drawing explicitly on their engineering and technical expertise, students applied problem-solving approaches, digital tools, and systems thinking to address a selected Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). Each team developed a persuasive pitch demonstrating how individuals – acting as global citizens – can contribute to its achievement. The project connected global frameworks with local realities while fostering intercultural competence, interdisciplinary teamwork, and socially responsible technological innovation.
